Fernando Pulido is the technical coordinator of the Mosaico project for Sierra de Gata and Hurdes. In this interview, he tells us what this project consists of, what it brings as a novelty to the forestry practice that has been carried out so far, and how it is going to work in the territory. His experience as a professor at the University of Extremadura in forestry, is contrasted at a vital level, as a person who has lived for years with the landscapes and inhabitants of these regions, as a protagonist suffered from fires and what comes next; when among the ashes, media silence, forgetfulness and inertia of ineffective preventive practices prevail.
